LockDown Browser for the

Remotely Proctored CLT & CLT10

This page is to help you prepare to use CLT's LockDown Browser for your upcoming at-home CLT or CLT10! There are instructions and links for the compatible computer types below.

Prior to test day, you must complete TWO steps:

  1. Installation of LockDown Browser
  2. Verification of LockDown Browser

Step 1: Installing LockDown

For Windows


System Requirements: Windows 10 or 11

Installation Steps (for individual computers):

  • Click the button below to download the installation file.
  • Open the downloaded file. You must have computer administrator permissions to run the installation.
  • Follow the install wizard steps to complete installation.

For Macs


System Requirements: MacOS 11 or later. Note: You cannot take the remotely proctored test on an iPad.

Installation:

  • Click the button below to download the installation file.
  • Open the downloaded .pkg file (you may need to click the .zip file first to access the .pkg file). You must have computer administrator permissions to run the installation.
  • Follow the install wizard steps to complete installation.
  • Before you verify the browser, please give LockDown screenshare permissions. See here for video instructions.

For Chromebooks


System Requirements: Update your Chromebook to the most recent version available in order to prevent compatibility issues. 

Installation: Click the button below to add the extension to Chrome!

Step 2: Verifying LockDown

Once CLT's LockDown Browser is installed, please click the button below to verify and confirm you are set for test day!

You will be prompted to log in to your CLT account after clicking the button.
